The Possibility Of A Modern Civil War Is Real

A domestic uprising is becoming more of a reality as our rights are threatened by the epic failure that is socialism.  It’s common knowledge that our country is struggling within its own borders.  Conservatives and liberals are at each others throats, and although there was much talk about bipartisanship we have yet to see any inclination this will happen with the democrats holding the majority.  The real question is how bad do things have to get before actions overpower negotiation.

The economy is still garbage, the unemployment rate is 8.5%, and there is active legislation to suppress rights and liberties afforded to us by our founding fathers.  This administration is an embarrassment to society, and society will only take so much before it fights back.  Attempts at negotiation with have proved fruitless, Ann Coulter said it best herself.

Political debate with liberals is basically impossible in America today because liberals are calling names while conservatives are trying to make arguments.

Its no secret that the financial stability of our country is in jeopardy.  The massive amount of money being poured into the financial sector has to come from somewhere, and that somewhere is our pockets.  Its likely going to come from pockets of Americans not yet old enough to have a voice.  Funding the bailouts is like stealing from piggy banks.  There is not an American out there who is not feeling the effect of stupid liberals trying to level the playing field.  Our country was founded around capitalism; keep your filthy hands to yourself.  Obama, in his infinite wisdom was was quoted saying

I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.

The only people this is good for is the lazy liberals who have refused to apply themselves and expect to dig in my pocket for “change”.  Try it again and you will pull back a bloody stump.

The national unemployment rate is hovering around 8.5% the highest rate since 1983.  With this many misplaced workers tension is mounting between unemployed citizens and the marxists who think its their job to run this country.  To all Karl following morons who put faith into big government and our current administration, we have news for you, we were given the right by men much wiser than all of you collectively to take you down a peg or two.

A country not focused on free enterprise is doomed to fail, and your unwillingness to admit that will be your demise.  Every public asset has roots in free enterprise, and therefor every argument you can make for socialism is weak.  If you do not stop force feeding us your agenda we will have no choice but to take a defensive stance, and by defensive I mean smear your sorry excuse for an opinion back to London where it came from.  This is not a threat, it is a promise, one that I am allowed to make if you continue to violate my rights.

I am an American, DO NOT TREAD ON ME!

I wish people would actually learn what marxism was before they started to smear it. Seriously - go look up the definition. Wikipedia has a great article on it (and you can verify that article’s contents with other sources).

Perhaps then you’ll be less likely to call the current administration marxist. How can a tax structure lower than that of the Regan years be marxist?

Marxism - “the social and political theories supported by Marx. These theories support a form of government called socialism in which either the people or the government administrates and owns everything, and in turn, unequally distributes the goods and pay according to work done.”

The current administration to a T.

Mnementh2230; altho wikipedia is often useful, because it’s entries are posts from the public, I never consider it as best possible source. Read the comment from YourLiberties, for gosh sake.

It matters not, marxism, socialism, maoism, communism.

They are all failed ideologies that require authoritarianism in order to operate.

    Bottom line.

These are antithetical to the principles in the Declaration of Independence & Constitution.

  5. 5 Your Liberties

    @tahDeetz
The DOI and Constitution very clearly state our rights and liberties as citizens. I do not understand why this is a forgeign concept to the libs.

    Socialism? For banks?

It’s all the same though. Either it’s the left trying to get the Government to control everything, or it’s the right trying to get corporations to control everything.

Power to the people? Sorry to say the only way you get that now is when the people take more control of their Government and decide that big business isn’t necessarily a good thing.

People question the patriotism of the left, but they never seem to question the patriotism of the wealthy and the big businesses. Are they really in it to better America? Or better their profit margin?

Would they gladly crush the country into rubble if it meant massive profits and destruction of their competing corporations?

Sometimes you need to analyze that. I’m not in line with everything the left does, but I get tired of how many naively believe the free market means 100% free and Joe Sixpack can somehow make a business for himself that won’t get crushed by the mega-corporations.

Does the conservative right in America have a firm grasp as to what they mean by “socilism” ? Has it dawned on anybody that Wall Street(a bastion of capitalism and free markets) and the pension funds linked to Wall Street, public stock ownership, and corporate governance, municipal bonds, are all ideas that originated from socialism? The very concept that a commoner can own stock in IBM, Google, Chevron, etc. has it’s origins in socialist theory? Every industrialized nation on earth has developed into a mixed economy. Nobody has practiced pure capitalism in well over a century.

The basis of this websites primary argument is completely flawed, the author obviously identifies with that of the G.O.P. and believes that it is the “Liberals” who are both the cause of the deterioration and a theorized, potential “Modern Civil War” in this country. There is a saying that “nothing is certain, but death and taxes” people will always be taxed here in this country as well as in others, not to detract from the fact that this has caused conflict within nations before, but to say that it is a part of being governed, despite who is doing the governing, be it Democrats, Republicans, Bi-partisan parties, Monarchy’s, Communists, Socialists, Dictators, Imperialists, Religious groups, etcetera. This country was founded by fighting a war of independence, a war that was fought in large part because of taxation (taxation without representation/intolerable acts), however after that war was successfully won by our nation and our constitution had been written, the very first act of government was to implement a tax, since the fledgling nation had bankrupted itself fighting the war. Taxes are inevitable and imperative when it comes to running a government, it simply must be done a necessary evil. Given that this is the case all of those who are agreeably being governed by any given nations government, should be equally and fairly taxed. Logic being used, it would be considered nothing less than reasonable by any educated, prudent individual to say that you cannot take something from nothing, the same principle holds true in all forms of reason, mathematics, philosophy, physics, etcetera. With that being said it is also of equal reason, and logic to say that the greatest amount of wealth would be also the greatest source of tax money available to any government seeking revenue. This is obvious, however what is not is that the a fore mentioned statement is true only when it is carried out in an equal manner, to look at this in an elementary way as to avoid confusion making it clear for all to comprehend(KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID), one only has to say that it would not be equal, or at all fair if I were to have three of something and another person twenty of something, for someone to come along and take three from the both of us, leaving myself with nothing and the other individual with seventeen. At first glance this may seem equal, but when one takes a closer look, it is clearly not. One percent of the worlds population controls eighty percent of the worlds wealth, that is a known fact, and is also of obvious, gross inequality. The founding fathers of this great nation that we call the United States of America, were all very intelligent, great men. They founded a form of government unlike that of anything else that the world had ever seen, a form of government that if executed properly, works perfectly without equivocation. These great men penned into existence, the most well written, and thought out document since the inception of the written word.

  11. 11 Nick

Our founding fathers pioneered a new form of government, fought for an won their independence, and wrote the a fore mentioned document (The United States Constitution), all in a time-span of just over a decade, this is an incredible feat. Credit given for this to them, their intent for the citizens of this nation was anything but of equality. Women and non- white, non-landowners were to be excluded from the definition of “all men are created equal”, from its very conception this nation has been anything but even handed and fair, this being the case there are a certain few within this nation who have currently, and who have always had an unfair advantage, the upper hand if you will, or a sort of head start. Others in this nation however are not, and were not so fortunate. Many Americans began their lives in this country as slaves, discriminated against immigrant workers, and as other equally unfortunate citizenry. Wealth, education, employment, landownership, political participation, and other essential rights and privileges as a citizen of this nation were unevenly allocated to the few elite. It is a well known principle in engineering/architecture, that if the calculations for a particular design are off even slightly in the beginning, then the final structure will be drastically off in its intended course of design, making the structure lopsided and unstable. The same is true for our structure of government in the United States, since it was not fair to begin with it is not fair now even though it may appear so, looks can be deceiving. In the not quite 300 year existence of our country, it has only been a third of that time since African Americans were allowed even the most basic of rights afforded to us as Americans by the constitution

  12. 12 Nick

and only two thirds of that time since slavery of African Americans in the United States was abolished, what is fair about this? The answer is quite evident, nothing is! The Republican Party was the very first political party in the united States, before there was ever a Democratic party, a Green Party, an Independent Party, a Tea Party, or any of the other parties that exist in modern times. With this being so, the Republican Party has had more than its fair share of control and power in the United States. Because of this fact, along with the fact that the Republican Party’s allegiance is with big business and the wealthy few(this cannot be disputed), it is then a given that the government in America has setup an economy that is unfairly skewed in the favor of the few who have had control of wealth and politics in this country since its very beginning.

  13. 13 Nick

That being said, it would then also be reasonable to conclude that other situations within the context of our government and its conduct as far as how it has, and is governing the American people, is also uneven in its administration of all acts of government conduct, including its policies regarding the taxation of its governed. Why should it be that the have not’s and as former President George W. Bush so eloquently put it “the have’s less”, be the ones who are taxed the most, when it is they who receive the least. They do not have the luxury of tax havens, and loopholes that exempt them if not completely, almost, from having to pay taxes. When it comes to socialization of certain services made available to American citizens through the procurement and use of tax money, why should these things not be provided to us via tax money, equally from both the poor and the wealthy(key word equally, with respect to income)? Do we not already have such social benefits in place already? The answer to that question is also a very obvious and resounding yes! The most obvious benefit of a social nature that almost no one (Republicans included), would attempt to do away with or otherwise dispute is the one that bares in its name the very word “SOCIAL”, that is social security. If this particular social benefit has been in place for seventy-five years without turning us into a nation of red flag/sickle and hammer waving communists, then why the irrational fear of other social benefit implementations in the United States? The answer is in the question, it is because the fear is exactly that irrational and unfounded, and is quite simply nothing more than political propaganda/rhetoric, aimed at inspiring fear in people in-order to sway people in a certain direction. There is little else more powerful than the use of fear in the persuasion of people, this fact has been demonstrated throughout history time and time again. George Orwell’s book Animal Farm, is a perfect illustration of how governments corrupt and furthermore of how revolution can go very wrong if done in haste and with ill care, for one to speak of civil war so lightly is ignorant at the very least, for the cost of such talk is very high when talk turns into acts. Our civil war was one of the bloodiest wars ever witnessed by mankind and remains so to this date. It is definitely our “right” and even our “duty” as it is written in the Declaration of Independence, to “throw-off” the government if it becomes “Tyrannical”, however it is also to be done only if and when there is “absolute despotism”, this is not the case however. To speak of taking such violent measures without first having a justifiable cause for doing so, is both irresponsible and terrorist like in nature, displaying a closer kin to those who cowardly attacked us on September the 11th 2001, than to the actions of the brave men who so valiantly gave their lives for the birth and progression of our nation.
